The last time Tom Brady was spotted on the North Shore was nearly a year ago. He was wearing UGG boots and walking on West Beach in Beverly Farms with his dog, Lua, filming a commercial. Back then, security had to keep everyone away from the now four time Super Bowl winner and three time Super Bowl MVP.That will not be the case this time as superstar Brady, considered one of the finest quarterbacks to ever play the game, will taking the stage, with tickets going on sale March 31.”Known for his strong work ethic and his belief that it is his team and not he that wins championships, Tom Brady is respected across the NFL and is a fan favorite throughout New England. presented under the auspices of the Salem State University Foundation, is in its 32nd season. Other sports speakers include Hall of Fame Baltimore Orioles shortstop Cal Ripken Jr. in 2007 and former Red Sox and Mets manager Bobby Valentine in 2012. Quarterback Doug Flutie and Celtics legend Bill Russell also spoke as part of the series.When asked how much was paid to attract Brady to speak, Cady said: “We never go there.””It’s a real coup, and what is really nice is there are no name recognition issues,” Cady said.The series took a hiatus last year amid a fundraising campaign.There was no word on whether Brady’s wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, will be joining her husband in Salem for the interview.Salem State University alumnus, supporter and sports fan Dennis Drinkwater, former co owner of Giant Glass and Denorabilia, is the presenting sponsor of Brady’s appearance.
