He is survived by his two daughters, Vicki (Mike) Blunt of Sorento and Terri (Ted) Kesner of Sorento; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Ruschhaupt, Julie (Andrew) Wadlow, Matthew Pople (Mark Holdridge) and Jessica (fiance Brian Drees) Schrumpf; great grandchildren, Haley Pople, Faith Schrumpf, Lucas Wadlow, McKenzie Ruschhaupt, Rhiley Drees, Lane Ruschhaupt, Noah Wadlow, Colin Beaupre and Tyler and Rebecca Enberg; one step grandson, Joe Pople; a niece that he and his wife reared as a daughter, Brenda (Terry) Mertes of New Douglas and their two children, Brandy (Chris) Beaupre and Tiffany (Keith) Engberg; a brother,
Dean (Roberta) Cruthis of Highland; a sister, Gloria “Babe” Justice of Peoria; sisters in law, Peggy Cruthis and LaVerne Hastings; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers Jack Cruthis and Chalmer Cruthis who were killed in WWII; brothers and sisters in law, Olin (Velma) Cruthis, Chester (Millie) Cruthis, Marvin (Helen) Cruthis; sisters and brothers in law True (Lowell) Halford, Lillian “Dot” (Urban) Wall, brother in law, Richard “Dick” Justice; sisters in law, Mary (Leonard) Worrell, Blanche (Harold) Spengelman; brothers in law, Lloyd Saathoff,
Howard Hastings and Elmer Hastings who was killed in WWII.
