When he saw me come out of the house he backed up and was just staring at the house, particularly at an upper window. I asked him if I could help him and he replied just checking out the house I decided to go back in the house and watch him.He ended up leaving in a grey car looking like a newer model Subaru or something. License plate begin with and also had a 7 in it and there was a chain link border around the back license plate.I don see any reason for a person to stop their car, get out and take a good look at a house unless they planning on something else.Just thought you might want to alert people so they keep an eye out. This happened on Amhurst Way in Concord. Thanks for the heads up! For those that might not know, Amhurst Way is near David Avenue Mohr Lane. right at dusk = my son answered the door to a SOLAR SALESMAN with a lot of ID hummmmm. Wonder if they had observed my friend leaving, thinking it was the homeowner and that the house might be unoccupied. Can be too careful.WTH? Who does that? What person just walks onto your property and peeks into your rear yard? When clearly the house is occupied. I could understand if the guy was witnessed peering into a foreclosed house. I have walked up and looked into the big undraped front windows of empty foreclosed houses in my neighborhood. Yes, I was nosey. I wanted to know what that house looked like inside. And I would tell anyone who asked me what I was up to. Along with an introduction, I am your neighbor down the street at , if they didn know me.This was way too suspicious, and criminals do not always look like criminals. Maybe he is the daily jogger guy that scouts out the neighborhood, and sends the looking guys back later to get those rims he saw in the side yard, or what ever.Just posted in the news last week was surveillance video of 2 robbers entering and exiting a gate 5 different times stealing the 2 $1400 blue nose pit bulls that were family pets and very friendly. And stereo equipment, and expensive tires and rims. They had to have lived close by as they left and came back in a gold car 5 times, taking a load each time. No one noticed. They acted like they belonged there, except for when they physically drug the two dogs out by their necks as they were resisting. Too bad those dogs weren violent, aggressive dogs! Would have served them right. But sadly no one noticed anything suspicious that day and called police. Or they did, but didn want to overreact. The entire incident was caught on tape by a camera in an upstairs window overlooking the driveway and one overlooking the side yard and gate. (hmmm, wasn the guy this morning checking out upper windows?) Were you their neighbor Kirkwood? Because you didn want to grossly over react? The police have told me to PLEASE report suspicious activity. They will deal with whether or not it is legit. And yes, I HAVE gone out to people photographing neighbor property and asked what are they up to and why? I told them, I have your description, your car and your license number. Would you please give me a business card or a company phone number to back up your story or else I will call 911 right now. One was an insurance claims guy, because the house was being refinanced, another was a repo guy spying on a house down the street and talking to his company down the street on a laptop in his car finding out last second finance info as to whether or not a car payment had been made before he took it. I got his business card. Another was a neighbor who had applied for new insurance, and another was an insurance company who had ordered a client to clean up their property and paint their house before they would renew the policy.I have stopped PGE subcontractors who were photographing trees to recommend they be trimmed, water company guys who were not in uniform, but walking across neighbor lawns and I didn see them do the meter check. Oh, believe me, I hope my neighbor pay as close of attention to my property as I do to theirs! And if the police ever contact me about a robbery on my street, I just may have a car description, and license plate number to give them. Or a business card. May not be much,

but it a start. And remember all, the last 3 digits of a license plate number are much more important than the first 3. Mine starts with 4A, as does just about every other car licensed in CA in 1998.Sorry to rant, but crooks do not always look like crooks, and remember, if it acts like a duck, chances are KravitzEveryone is entitled to what they would do or say after the fact. I work in court and I see people in here that hit the guy as stated. The burglar is protected and has rights and has sued an won. I know it doesn seem right but it happens all the time. They get their day in court and they do win. I also known of people to take hostage in someone home and kill people. Believe me, it just not worth it. But if you feel that property is worth more than your life or others in the home, take the action. It truly is not worth playing guy. To me anything can be replaced, except for your LIFE!I think if any of us here sees anyone you don recognize in your neighborhood, peeping over your fence or one of your neighbors, you should by all means consider it suspicous and question it. It has nothing to do with being paranoid, being weird, or making a big deal over nothing. You don know nothing until you take the proactive approach to make sure it isnPerhaps if one of the neighbors where Jaycee Dugard was held captive became a little bit more suspicious of their neighbor, this young lady would have not spent the number of years she did in captivity. He was originally by the back gate of my house, when he saw me come out he immediately backed away from it, glanced towards me, and then seemed to focus intently on an upstairs window. After I asked him if I could help him (his reply being just checking out the house I went back inside o get my phone, when I went to a window to see what was going on I took a look at his car and after a few seconds it drove off, I was trying to get the plates but I only got so much of it.The man looked somewhat like a thinner stephen king. He had glasses, gray hair, not long but not real short, he was in a blue track suit it was light and dark blue, I believe there was a little bit of white on it too. He looked like a nice older man, but his actions were very suspect.Overall I would say I underreacted, I know people who would have been much more aggressive. After seeing many articles like this on here I thought it would be important to alert my neighborhood to something so suspicious. Have you killed someone before? You seem REALLY comfortable with the idea of shooting someone. Me? I would do verything in my power to protect my family and if an intruder died at my hands it would fk with me for a long time, I am sure. Keep it put away and use it in an extreme case, but I don need to hear about your anticipation regarding your future shootings.Get used to it, back in 2011 both Bonilla and DeSaulnier voted for AB 109 which has emptied our prisons of all but the worst sending them back to the Counties they came from. AB 109 has caused jail overcrowding problems in all 58 Counties. Misdemeanor offenders are being shown the door on a regular basis and the threat of incarceration for property crimes has become a joke. Democrats kicked their prison overcrowding problem down onto the Counties. Though lately with all the crime people get suspicious of every little thing. Sometimes you just have to also believe someone one might be just curious on someones yard. Maybe the owner should have asked more questions about why he was looking. Maybe he might be comparing neighborhoods and wanted to know how much yard the homes in the area have. Or maybe he did want to scope out the yard and see if there is a dog there so when he comes back and robs the place he won have a furry alarm going off.If you all are worried, do what smart people do. Carry your smartphone and when you see someone in your yard or suspicious vehicles, TAKE PICTURES.Agree 44. Low life thugs know what they can get away with. We had a girl who presented herself as sweet and classy in our employment for a few years. She embezzled over 150K from the company I work for. She has never spent a night in jail and since she is technically jail at her own home,

she is not required to pay a dime of the restitution that was ordered. Never forget everyone: were designed for THUGS to hide their ankle bracelets. (yeah I made that one up a few years ago when this all went down at work)
